2017 Blue Sky Cup
Event Information

Friday, February 9th, 2018
Vail, Colorado – Lionshead

At the base of the Eagle Bahn Gondola

Now in its sixth year, the 2017 Blue Sky Cup awaits the team who can ski the most vertical feet while completing select team challenges.

Goal: Ski (snowboard) at least 40,000 vertical feet while completing the challenges, having fun, being safe and doing it all for charity!

We are proud to support the Arthritis National Research Foundation and you can learn more about them at

Rules for BSCSIX will be available for the event. Not much changes from year to year so to get an idea of what to expect you can view the BSCFIVE Rules Here.

The 3 founding premises for the event are:

    •  Everyone makes it to 40,000 vertical feet.
    •  You stay safe!
    •  Make it the best ski day of the year!

The Baby Blue

New this year: The Baby Blue is a division for those who aren’t interested in going for 40,000 vertical feet, but still want to support the cause–and have a lot of fun!

The Baby Blue award will go to the team that scores the most number of points, outside of the 40,000 vertical feet total. All challenges are optional and Baby Blue participants are encouraged to complete as many as possible to try to win the Baby Blue award!
